Beautiful French style desk at a great price! Functional and elegant. Cushion on chair is firm and comfortable. It was very easy to assemble, except for one of the legs on the desk took a little more time. When I got it all together and put it in the room, it looks awesome. The detail on the desk legs is great. It makes it look antique, which is what I wanted.

The leggings of both table and chair look very solid which is good. That's the foundation of the table and the chair. The table is made of some type of composite, plywood or whatever material. If you are used to Ikea or sauder furniture furniture... this is cake walk. The one aspect that it really doesnt show in picture is that the table top has a hard rubber/plastid type of material and it shows a world map. I actually was surprised and like it very much.

Both the desk and chair look like something you would buy at a high end furniture store . . . very good quality. If I had room in my home I'd buy another one. The only assembly involved are the legs. This 2pc Home Office Writing Desk & Side Chair Set Acme Furniture is very well built and of a very good quality.

It was packaged extremely well and I was comfortable when opening the outer packaging that the desk and chair were well protected from being damaged during shipment. We are thrilled that we made the decision to make this purchase and saved at least $300 from similar desk and chair sets we researched in our local area.
